In accordance with Law No. 2013/4 (Political Parties Act), the Elections Commission has verified and published the number of registered members for political parties operating under its jurisdiction.

As of 31 December 2025, the officially recorded membership of political parties is as follows:

1. Maldivian Democratic Party: 43,784
2. Adhaalath Party: 8,267
3. Jumhooree Party: 12,343
4. Maldives Development Alliance Party: 9,686
5. Maldives Labor and Social Democracy Party: 1,710
6. Peoples National Congress Party: 74,048
7. Maldives National Party: 5,133
8. The Democrats Party: 2,952
9. Peoples National Front Party: 3,012

All political parties registered with the Elections Commission are required to manage party membership registrations and removals through the eFaas system, accessible via the Commission’s portal at my.elections.gov.mv.

Effective 1 Januray 2026, the procedures related to political party membership have been updated to provide a faster, more efficient, and more convenient process. The revised procedures cover:

• Registration of new members for political parties
• Removal of members from political parties
• Requests submitted by individual members to withdraw from political party membership

These changes have been implemented to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure full compliance with the Political Parties Act. The Elections Commission remains committed to maintaining transparency, accuracy, and integrity in all matters related to political party membership.
