His Excellency the President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Al-Ustaz Rifathu Abdulla, of Meemu Atoll Veyvah, Kinara, as a Member of the Elections Commission, pursuant to Article 168 of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Article 4 of Law No. 8/2008 (Elections Commission Act).

 

He was formally presented with his letter of appointment and took the oath of office at an official ceremony held today at the President’s Office.

 

Prior to his appointment, Al-Ustaz Rifathu Abdulla served in the Legal Section of the Elections Commission. During his tenure, he held several key positions within the Commission, including service at the Complaints Bureau, as Senior Legal Officer, and as Deputy Director.
